Here’s what I’ve been waiting for:
“He’s ****ing crazy,” Gov. Chris Sununu said to laughter and applause — and, notably, no booing.
“I don’t think he’s so crazy that you could put him in a mental institution,” he added. “But I think if he were in one, he ain’t getting out.”
That happened last weekend at a gathering in D.C., according to a Washington Post reporter who attended the event. That’s Sununu, the Republican governor of New Hampshire. And he’s talking about fellow Republican Donald John Trump, who recently called mass murderer Vladimir Putin “savvy” and a “genius” when he invaded Ukraine.
Finally, a blessed lack of unthinking, bootlicking partisanship. I’d bet the ranch that most mainstream Republicans feel that way, but now we’ve got someone actually uttering the unvarnished truth. I wonder how Fox handled Sununu’s candor.
And we were obsessing about Hillary’s use of a private email server six years ago?
