PARIS — Starting a new, family-friendly tradition, Young’s Greenhouse – one of Maine’s largest greenhouses – is kicking off the spring and summer planting season with a massive, community egg hunt. Marking its official opening day, Young’s Greenhouse is partnering with Moss Brook Church to host the free event on April 16, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.
The Easter egg hunt will take place in Young’s Greenhouse heated greenhouses, located at 643 High Street in Paris. Each greenhouse will have a special golden egg, which can be turned in for a prize. Registration begins at 10 a.m., with the hunt starting at 10:30 a.m. Participants should bring their own baskets.
In addition to lots of eggs, there will be door prizes, games, live music, cotton candy, and popcorn for all to enjoy.

We believe it's important to offer commenting on certain stories as a benefit to our readers. At its best, our comments sections can be a productive platform for readers to engage with our journalism, offer thoughts on coverage and issues, and drive conversation in a respectful, solutions-based way. It's a form of open discourse that can be useful to our community, public officials, journalists and others.
We do not enable comments on everything — exceptions include most crime stories, and coverage involving personal tragedy or sensitive issues that invite personal attacks instead of thoughtful discussion.
