Patricia R. Raymond

AUBURN – Patricia R. Raymond, 78, of Lewiston, passed away Monday evening May 16, 2022 at the Hospice House with her family at her side.

She was born in Lewiston on August 14, 1943, the third of five children born to Rosaire and Rose-Anna (Roy) Cliche. Pat was educated in Lewiston schools, graduated from Lewiston High School in 1961 and remained a lifelong resident of this community. She met her future husband, Gerry Raymond, in 1958 while they were both working part-time at Victor News on Ash St. Pat and

Gerry married on August 17, 1963 and together they settled in Lewiston to raise their family. Pat worked many years in clerical and office work, and was a longtime employee and dispatcher first for Reliable Oil Co. and later for Dead River Co. until her retirement.

Over the years, Pat enjoyed many different hobbies such as sewing, cross-stitching, tole painting, baking and Sudoku puzzles. But her greatest enjoyment was her family and gathering together, whether it was holidays or summertime cookouts. She was a proud mother and Memere. Pat epitomized what being a Memere was, attending all her grandchildren’s sporting events, recitals, competitions and activities that she was able to attend, supporting all her grandchildren, even through live-stream during Covid.

The first line of The Family Prayer truly describes Pat’s life…”God made us a family.” Pat was a loving, devoted and hardworking wife, mother, grandmother, sister and aunt who will be dearly missed.

She leaves behind her husband of 58 years, Gerard J.B. Raymond of Lewiston; her four children, John Raymond and wife Michele, Paul Raymond and wife Jackie, Jennifer Williams and husband Peter, and Julie Raymond; her 10 grandchildren, Brooke Raymond, Cameron Raymond, Evan Raymond, Rebecca Raymond, Emma Williams, David Williams, Corrina Williams, Alyssa Tremblay, Chloe Tremblay and Luci Tremblay; her sister, Joline Marcoux and husband Raymond, her brother, Raymond Cliche; and several nieces and nephews.

Pat was predeceased by her parents; a brother, Robert Cliche and a sister, Lorraine (Cliche) Chicoine.

The family would like to thank the staff at Central Maine Medical Center, Single Stay Unit; and at the Hospice House for their care of Pat over the past month.
