PARIS — Three individuals are running for three openings on the Board of Selectmen on June 14.
Selectmen Christopher Summers and Peter Kilgore are seeking reelection for another three years. Political newcomer Michael Bailey is the running to fill the remaining two years left by Walter Perry, who resigned in March.
Balloting will be held at the Paris Fire Station on 137 Western Ave. from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.
First elected in 2016, Summers is seeking his third term. He is chairman of the board and serves as the town code enforcement officer.
Kilgore is running for a second term after being elected in 2019. He formerly served on the town Budget Committee.
Bailey, 57, said, ” I believe in small government and will work hard to keep budgets and taxes down.”
Other local races on the ballot include Jennifer Russell unopposed for a three-year seat as a director for Maine School Administration District 17. Director Scott Buffington is not seeking reelection.
Two candidates are seeking an open seat on the five-member board of trustees for the Paris Utility District. Kyle Lamb and Keith Rudman are seeking to replace Garrett Frost, who is stepping down.
