Claire S. Tardif

LEWISTON – Claire S. Tardif, 74, formerly of 34 Bartlett Street, Lewiston, died Saturday, Feb. 12, 2022, at Bolster Heights Residential Care in Auburn. Born in New York City on Oct. 31, 1947, she was the daughter of Clarence and Jeanette Lavoie Reiser. Educated locally, she was a graduate of St. Dominic High School, Class of ‘60.

During her working life she was employed as a CNA at d’Youville Pavilion, a stitcher at Falcon Shoe, and also cleaned offices. On March 17, 1991, she married Reynald Tardif, who passed away on Feb. 5, 2020. Along with her husband, she was an active member of the former Jacques Cartier Club of Sabattus.

Survivors include a son, Richard Dick Jr. of Lewiston, a stepdaughter, Michelle and husband Rick Lessard of Lisbon; a sister, Helen and husband Francis Koss of Hampton, Ga.; a grandchild, Harley Higgins; a great-grandchild, David Bentley; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Services will be held on Wednesday, June 8, 2022, 11 a.m., in the Lower Church of S.S. Peter & Paul Basilica. Interment, St. Peter’s Cemetery. Memories may be shared at http://www.albert-burpee.com
