Robert “Bob” C. Dolloff

PERU – Robert “Bob” C. Dolloff, 85, passed away at his home and went to meet his Savior, Jesus Christ on June 24, 2022, after dealing with lung issues and Alzheimer’s disease.

He was born to Eldon G. and Ada M. Gammon Dolloff on Jan. 16, 1937, in Peru, Maine where he lived his entire life. He graduated from Stephens High School in Rumford in 1954. As a teen and adult, he was an active member of Rockemeka Grange. He enjoyed country western music from a young age, played bass drum in high school, sang in the church choir, and danced many forms of dance, enjoying square dancing the most. He married his high school sweetheart, Shirley Wyman, on Sept. 15, 1956.

He is survived by his wife; five children, Cyndi Dolloff, John Dolloff and wife Cathy, Judy Gill and husband Kenny, all of Peru, Carol Donaher and husband Ed of Virginia and Clinton Dolloff and wife Becky of Dixfield. Also surviving are his grandchildren Dale Dolloff of Rumford, Amy Dolloff of Oklahoma, Kyme Dolloff and Alyson Gill of Sabattus, Amanda Dolloff of Lisbon, Margaret Dolloff of Westbrook, Jessica Leighton, Riley and Tobias Dolloff all of Peru, Derek Nisbet and Erica Donaher of Virginia; and 11 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his brother Richard Dolloff and his wife Pat of Peru and sister Rita Nussbauner and husband John of Deltona, Fla., sister-in-law, Marion Wyman of Smithfield; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Bob was preceded by his parents, Eldon Guy Dolloff, Sr. and Ada Gammon Dolloff Vaughn, stepfather Archie Vaughn; brother Eldon Guy Jr.; grandson Kyle Nisbet; and brother-in-law Alden Wyman.

The family would like to thank Mary Lou Dolloff Wing for the use of the hospital bed and equipment, Nancy Dolloff Nemethy and Androscoggin Hospice Nurses and CNA’s for all their love, support and care during this difficult time.

There will be a public graveside service on Friday, July 8, 2022 at 10 a.m. at the Knight Cemetery on Route 108 (Auburn Road) in Peru.
