Vada M. Wright
LEWISTON – Vada M. Wright, 99, of Lewiston, passed away at her home on Sunday, June 26, 2022, with her family by her side. She was born in Lewiston on June 20, 1923, to Lorenzo and Dora Jutras Cloutier, and had 11 brothers and sisters.
On July 10, 1948, she married George “Sammy” Wright. They raised their family in Sabattus and lived there until her husband’s passing on June 16, 2006. She enjoyed playing Beano, watching the Red Sox, and going to the casino, which she last did two years ago at the age of 97.
Survivors include three children, George Jr. and wife Irene of Greene, John and wife Diane of Labelle, Fla., and Grace Wright of Lewiston; four grandchildren, Matthew, Keith, Nicole, and Derek; four great-grandchildren; three sisters, Georgette, Theresa, and Lorraine; and many nieces and nephews. Besides her parents and husband, she was predeceased by three brothers and five sisters.
The family would like to thank the staff of Androscoggin Home Healthcare & Hospice, especially RNs Amy and Shondra, they were the best anyone could ask for.
Visitation will be held at the Albert & Burpee Funeral Home on Thursday, June 30, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., followed by a service at 1 p.m. Interment, Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Sabattus. Memories may be shared at http://www.albert-burpee.com.
