Robert W. Elliott Jr.

LOVELAND, Colo. – Robert W. Elliott Jr., 90, of Evergreen, Colo. and of Litchfield, passed away on Saturday, June 18, 2022 at the Medical Center of the Rockies in Loveland, Colo.

He was born in Albany, N.Y. on Dec. 11, 1931, the son of the late Robert W. Sr. and Beatrice (Wemette) Elliott.

He was raised in Hoosick Falls, N.Y. and graduated from Hoosick Falls High School in 1949, earning a Latin Scientific Diploma with honors. After working with a contractor, in home construction for one year, he then enrolled in the Albany College of Pharmacy in Albany, N.Y. earning a B.S. in Pharmacy in 1954. Upon passing the State Board Exams in both New York and Vermont, he began his Registered Pharmacist career in Bennington, Vt. Bob then met and married Yvette I. Charest at Holy Family Church in Lewiston.

In 1961, he accepted a partnership and in 1963 became the sole owner of a Pharmacy in Sidney, N.Y., semi retiring in 1986. Bob and Yvette then relocated in Litchfield, Maine on Tacoma Lakes, since Yvette was born and raised in Lewiston. For the last six years of his 40-year pharmacy career, Mr. Elliott practiced at the VA Medical Center at Togus, after becoming registered in Maine.

Mr. Elliott enjoyed his retail and hospital pharmacy career and was a member of the New York State Pharmaceutical Association, the National Association of Retail Druggists and Vermont and Maine Pharmacy Associations.

He is survived by two sons, Gary T. Elliott and his wife Doreen of Evergreen, Colo. and Scott R. Elliott and his wife Jamie of Solon, Ohio; Gary’s two daughters, Meghan and Kaitlin and stepson Christopher; and Scott’s daughters Ashley and Lauren and his son, Nicholas and stepchildren Chantz Visse and Jenna Visse; He is also survived by two brothers, Ronald Elliott of Austinville, Va. and William Elliott and his wife Linda of Harrisville, N.H., and by one sister, Sandra Ward and her husband Anthony of Brunswick Hills, Ohio.

A Funeral Mass honoring Robert’s life will be celebrated on Thursday, July 7 at 11 a.m. at Holy Family Church. Committal services will then follow at St. Peter’s Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 6 from 4-7 p.m. at the Pinette Dillingham and Lynch Funeral Home, 305 Alfred A. Plourde Parkway in Lewiston, 784-4023.
