AUBURN — Incisal Edge dental magazine recognized Dr. Benjamin Lawlor among the 2022 “40 Under 40” top young dentists in the U.S.

Dr. Benjamin Lawlor recognized as one of top dentists “40 under 40” by dental magazine.

The dental publication celebrates brilliant young achievers in dentistry, ages 40 and younger, with its signature award, now in its 12th consecutive year.

Among the 2022 “40 Under 40” recipients, are 40 women and 40 men from 24 states, including Lawlor. Fewer than 700 of America’s best young dentists have earned this designation. Lawlor was raised in Maine and fell in love with dentistry at a young age with inspiration from his local dentist, who often provided he and his six siblings with free dental work along with other great support such as mentorship and odd jobs. Lawlor joined the military after high school, obtaining the funding needed for college in the U.S. Air Force and then went on to dental school to pursue his childhood dream.

After graduation, Lawlor completed over 1,200 hours of continuing education in less than five years, all while practicing dentistry full time, serving with the Maine National Guard, and sitting on various community boards. He said he has always believed in providing a different dental experience to patients, developing a clear vision for Maine Dentistry.

The business said receiving this recognition from Incisal Edge is an honor for Lawlor and the organization as a whole, reinforcing his vision and dedication to excellence within the dental community.
