Brian S. Plourde

LEWISTON – Brian S. Plourde, AKA “Twiggy”, 48, passed away on July 1, 2022, after a long illness at St. Mary’s Hospital, Lewiston.

He was born on Nov. 3, 1973 in Lewiston the son of Richard and Betty (Pratt) Plourde. Brian graduated from Lewiston High School, class of 1992.

Brian was owner of Buddyz Construction where he performed roofing, siding and framing. He was named the “Fastest Roofer” in Maine.

He enjoyed coaching his son’s little league team and playing in pool leagues with his father, brother and nephews. Brian also enjoyed outdoor sports including riding his four-wheeler, dirt bike, snowmobiling, collecting baseball cards, sponsoring race cars and cooking for others. Brian would make sure others were fed before he fed himself. Brian was also an avid collector of music and memorabilia including KISS, AC/DC and Ozzy Osborne to name a few. He was a fan of the Boston Red Sox and the Miami Dolphins.

Brian was the life of the party, he wanted those around him to laugh and have fun. He was famous for his humpty dance on a pole, door frame or leg. He was also kind and generous. If he had a dollar to his name he would give it. He never worried about himself, he was that type of guy, one of a kind.

Brian was predeceased by his mother. Brian is survived by his wife Laurie, father Richard, son Brian Jr.. aka “Splinter”, brother Rodney and his son’s Justin, Brandon and Cody, brother Jim and his son Dylan, brother Dana and his partner Colleen Lahey and his son’s Cameron, Anthony, and Reilly, step children Bridgette Snow and husband Tyc, Thomas Cunneen, and stepgranddaughter Kylie.

A remembrance will be held on Wednesday, July 6, from 4 to 8 p.m., at the New Auburn Social Club, 7 Second St., Auburn, Maine 04210.
