I hope voters join me this November by electing Assistant District Attorney Neil McLean as district attorney for Androscoggin, Franklin and Oxford counties.

We have to be honest with ourselves that too many well-intentioned criminal justice reforms simply aren’t working. In my 17 years as a police officer the crime scene has changed, with more violent crime and armed drug dealers on our corners. Too many unsupervised youths, who lack safe and structured programming, roam our streets.

The criminal justice system is not reliable. But as a prosecutor, Neil McLean is more than reliable — he is dedicated and effective.

During the wee hours of the morning, Neil answers the call and supports us in the field. In court, he stands up for victims and fights to keep the most dangerous offenders off the streets. I trust Neil with my safety — and others should, too.

I ask people to vote Neil McLean for district attorney.
