We write in support of Kristen Cloutier for re-election as Lewiston’s District 94 representative in Augusta.
Having each served as School Committee members, we especially appreciate her attention to our students, her sympathetic ear, and her deep understanding of our local needs.
For instance, Kristen was instrumental in expanding the availability of oral hygiene services as well as universally free lunch in our K-12 schools. Moreover, recent graduates can benefit from her work to offer not only free community college, but also increased support for technical and vocational educational programs.
For those at the other end of the age spectrum, Kristen helped secure improved benefits for people enrolled in the Maine Public Employees Retirement System.
Kristen has proven to be an excellent fit for Lewiston. We note with extra appreciation her attention to our schools and our students and hope District 94 residents vote for Kristen Cloutier in November.
