I cannot believe Terence McManus’s letter where it appears he continues to support Donald Trump (“Trump supporters bear ‘august list’ of titles,” Aug. 20).

I really am at a loss how anyone can still support a man who called upon his supporters to disrupt the peaceful transfer of power, refused to take immediate action when Congress and his vice president were under attack, and to this day refuses to say “I lost the election.”

While I did not agree with Hillary Clinton calling Trump’s supporters deplorable in 2016, one has to wonder about their belief in law and order. It is extremist to respond with violence whenever you do not like an outcome.

Terence is not unworthy, but he sure sees things way differently than I do. He thinks it is suspicious that the Federal Bureau of Investigation searched Trump’s home. I think finding classified documents in an unsecured location suspicious and threatens our country’s security.

I can only imagine what World War II veterans who defended democracy would think of our country today, with 47% believing Trump’s lies and cheering as Eric Trump gloats his father “killed another political dynasty.”

“RINO-hunting,” Eric calls it.

Humph.

RINO should stand for any who still support or kowtow to Trump, because they certainly do not reflect Republicans (or their values) whom I have known in the past.
