I’ve never thought that politics mattered. I thought that what happened in Augusta didn’t directly affect me.

But the last few years have taught me that I was wrong. Which leads to the question, what type of person do I want in Augusta? I want someone who is practical and down-to-earth, and who cares about the things I do, like my children and their future.

Here is a quotation from Laurel Libby: “I want my children to grow up with the same rights and freedoms that I have taken for granted for most of my life. I want to make sure they too have the opportunity to live, work, and raise their own families right here in Maine.”

That’s the type of person I want in Augusta.
