I enthusiastically support Kristen Cloutier for House District 60 (formerly 94). She’s a strong leader working for Lewiston families.
An example of Kristen’s leadership is her sponsorship of the Family Caregiver Grant Program (LD 296). This program provides tax credits for families who care for sick loved ones. It supports eldercare and assists families with seniors suffering from Alzheimer’s and dementia.
Maine has the highest percentage of senior citizens by population, and a growing need for families to take a lead role in providing care. This legislation brings much-needed help to family caregivers in a sensible way.
We should applaud legislation like LD 296, as well as Rep. Cloutier, who leads by example in supporting our seniors and their families.
I hope people vote for Kristen Cloutier. She works for Maine’s families, and has the vision and experience to get things done in Augusta.
