Christie Taylor Copp

DURHAM – Born Nov. 2, 1947, to Henry and Vera Taylor. She grew up in Portland. Married Frank Copp (recently deceased) in 1964 who lovingly and sacrificially cared for her at their home in Durham during her final years of bad health.

Frank was amazing in his devotion and care for her. Christie had three sons Frank, Michael and Robert that she was very proud of and two grandchildren Kirsten and Kody whom she adored. She had two sisters, Candy Maietta and Bonnie Palmiter and a younger brother Larry Taylor. She had two older brothers, Danny and Tommy (pre deceased) and a surviving older brother Dennis Fraser.

She was addicted to Diet Pepsi and could be called a pepsiholic. As a teen her love for Pepsi motivated her to a hang a supply of it on a sheet outside her bedroom window so her siblings would not tap into her supply. She loved joking around with her young children and nieces and nephews by keeping them entertained with silly antics and stories. Her visits were usually very brief – driving miles to spend only a few minutes – had to get going for a Pepsi probably!

Her family is thankful for the care she got in her last days from her grandchildren Kirsten and Kody and also from her special niece Christine Small.
