My husband Danny and I have been married for 48 years. Our two children, Nick and Ann, attended Lewiston public schools. I’m a former educator and enjoy spending time with family and friends while working to create a community that provides opportunities for people to lead the best lives possible.

Define what “success” would look like if you are elected to serve your district.
I’ve spent my years in public service working with people across the political spectrum to successfully negotiate unanimous, bipartisan state budgets that created educational opportunity, economic development, access to health care, and tax relief for Lewiston people. I know how to build support for solutions to our most pressing problems and how to make sure those solutions are funded. We can’t look away from hard problems — especially not now. We need to make sure that people have what they need to live full lives and to provide their children with bright futures. If I have the honor of representing Lewiston people again in the Maine State Senate, success would look like:
- Providing a strong, effective voice for Lewiston.
- Collaborating to solve problems.
- Respectfully representing all Lewiston people.
- Promptly addressing constituent concerns/requests for help.
- Making sure Lewiston receives our fair share of state funds.
Public access to information is the foundation of our democracy. Citizens have a right to know how decisions are made on their behalf. I’m proud of the work I led to strengthen Maine’s right to know laws as Senate Chair of the Maine Right to Know Advisory Committee.
