I’m wondering how a veteran with a distinguished record, one Reality Winner (yes, that is a real person) got five years in jail, for one file removal from a secure place.
Could it be the law pertains only to people not named Donald Trump? So far it has, for over 70 years and counting.
The file in question, in Ms. Winners’ case, exposed the Russians’ effort to interfere in our election by messing with voter registration rolls. It’s a sure bet, she was politically pilloried for it. She got the longest sentence ever for her crime.
The terrible thing is, she did a service she thought would be appreciated, because she felt Americans needed the truth more than her personal comfort.
Once more, in my opinion, she served her country well. Better than justice served her.
