Our local politicians are nice people. Peggy Rotundo, Margaret Craven, Michel Lajoie and Jared Golden have represented our city for years.
Look around Lewiston. Can people tell me what they’ve accomplished?
We’ve seen a rise in crime, drugs, homelessness and housing projects. Portland has used Lewiston as a storage space to house their overflow of refugees.
Will we replicate other Democratic states? Will prosecutors, supported by George Soros, decide what laws they will prosecute while anarchy runs amok on our streets? Will the teachers union decide when schools will be open and closed?
Other than being a Marine and joining with other congressional veterans to create a monument, what has Golden done? When the Lewiston Veterans Center — which provides counseling for returning combat veterans — was critically understaffed, Bruce Poliquin stepped up and fixed the problem. Then-City Councilor Golden was AWOL.
Is it time for a change? On Nov. 8, voters decide.
