SOUTH PARIS – Dear Mom/Grammy/Connie,

We are fortunate to have been graced by your incredible love, hugs, guidance and smile for over 88 years. Even up to when you entered your new home in heaven on Tuesday Sept. 27, 2022, with Dave and Dean at your side at home, your love permeated the air. Ever since that joyous day you graced the world on July 24, 1934, in Lewiston, your parents Lionel Cote and Christine (Pouline) were so proud of their firstborn daughter.

After you graduated from Lewiston High, you met the love of your life Edgar Lachance, who for over 60 years was your sweetheart, husband, and soulmate in faith, raising your two sons in South Paris. You both designed and built the lovely home you lived in for over 58 years in South Paris. You were so well known by your many years as Rowe School Secretary to the Principal, and election worker at the polls.

Your love of children was exemplified most by your love of your sons, daughter in laws Laurie and Susan, and your love glowed with your four grandsons Michael (fiance Gabby Lubin), Jacob (girlfriend Meaghan O’Leary), Zachary, and Andrew (girlfriend Sadie James). You and Dad graced your children and grandchildren by attending over 2000 sporting and music events through your dedication, and out of your huge hearts of love. Your commitment to baking many incredible goodies was enjoyed by children all over Maine, and even with Counselors from around the world at Seeds of Peace Camp.

Your deep faith was clearly shown in your smile and time, especially your greatest joy – the ‘four boys’, the grandchildren. Dave and Dean are honored to be your sons, and along with our wives Laurie, Susan and ‘the boys’, will carry on your commitment to faith, family, friends, love, hugs and smiles.

Your sister Elaine (Cote) Dubois (husband Richard) who’s earthly birthday you now share as your heavenly birthday, your brothers Lionel (wife Madeline) and Richard (wife Cathy) saw you as the beautiful family matriarch, sharing your heart, home and food during the holidays for many years. They, the many family members and friends express their love and prayers, and will miss your advice, humor and love. Your special, extraordinary friend and neighbor Clarice Neal will miss you dearly, but knows you are at peace and joy with dad in Heaven. Your friendship was a beautiful example of God’s love in the world.

We Love you Dearly Mom/Grammy/Connie, you will be missed Greatly. Rest in Peace, but enjoy many Adventures!!!

As you requested, and in your honor, a Funeral Mass will take place on Saturday, October 8, 2022, at 11 a.m. at your home parish of St. Catherine’s of Sienna, 32 Paris St., Norway.

Note: Burial will follow at a future date at Gracelawn Memorial Park in Auburn. Arrangements are under the care of Chandler Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 45 Main St., South Paris.
