“Maine: The Way Life Should Be.” Gov. Janet Mills has been leading our state to maintain our way of life by following the science and getting advice from the professionals in the health industry that saved lives during COVID-19.
Maine’s people received a $850 check instead of lowering the gas tax, like Paul LePage wanted to do. A lot of seniors and other taxpayers who don’t drive or own a car would have been left out.
The Mills administration and the Appropriations Committee have done a great job working together for taxpayers. They were able to put more money in the “rainy day fund” (emergency funds) than ever before. They funded programs that directly help the people that LePage had cut, like MaineCare (Medicaid), senior housing and fully funding schools.
I hope people vote for Mills, Congressman Jared Golden and our local Democratic candidates.
Save our democracy.
