Gould Academy bicyclists turn Nov. 3 onto Mason Street past the Moses Mason House in Bethel. The house, built in 1813, was home to one of Bethel’s earliest doctors and its first postmaster. Now owned by the Museums of the Bethel Historical Society, the building was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1972. The home, with its furnishings arranged as it would have appeared when Mason lived there, is open for tours by appointment. Rose Lincoln/Bethel Citizen
