WOMEN’S BASKETBALL
CMCC 73, SMCC 40: Luna Love scored 15 points and Kali Thompson pulled down 11 rebounds and added 10 points in the undefeated Mustangs’ (15-0, 7-0) victory over the Seawolves (10-4, 6-2) in South Portland.
CMCC’s Jade Smedberg (eight rebounds) and Emily Strachan each scored nine points.
Maddy York finished with a team-high 15 points for SMCC.
MEN’S BASKETBALL
SMCC 64, CMCC 51: DeSean Cromwell buried four 3-pointers, went 9-for-11 at the free-throw line and scored 29 points, leading the Seawolves to victory over the Mustangs in South Portland.
Thomas Martinotti added 13 points for SMCC (10-4, 4-2). The Seawolves scored 37 points in the second half to jet past CMCC, which led 31-27 at halftime but only scored 20 after the break.
For the Mustangs (9-2, 5-0), Cam Pollock led the way with 12 points, followed by Wyatt Hathaway’s 10 points. Michael Connolly pulled down a team-best 10 rebounds, including six off the offensive glass.
