SALEM — Charlie Houghton scored a game-high 33 points as Dirigo stayed unbeaten with a 67-65 win over Mt. Abram in an MVC boys basketball battle Thursday.

Nathaniel Wainwright (11 points) and Trent Holman (10 points) also finished in double figures for Dirigo (8-0). The Cougars trailed by four entering the third quarter before outscoring Mt. Abram 22-16 in the fourth.

Cam Frost-Grey scored 22 points for Mt. Abram (4-2) in the loss. Kaden Pillsbury and Payton Mitchell added 18 points and 12 points, respectively.

LISBON 49, ST. DOMINIC 36: Levi Tibbetts led the Greyhounds (4-2) with 19 points in the win over the Saints in Lisbon.

Chase Mailhot also had a standout game with 16 points for Lisbon.

Jack Brocke led St. Dom’s (2-5) with 10 points and Jon Tangilamesu notched nine.

WELLS 58, OAK HILL 39: Kayden Springer scored eight of his 11 points in the first quarter, and Caden Dufort added 10 of his 13 points in the second as the Warriors (2-5) took control against the Raiders (1-6) at Wells.

Springer and Dufort combined for six 3-pointers. Spencer Carpenter scored 10 points for Wells, which led 18-6 after the first quarter and 35-16 at the half.

Maverick Swan led Oak Hill with 10 points.

GRAY-NEW GLOUCESTER 44, CAPE ELIZABETH 37: Noah Hebert paced the Patriots (5-2) with 17 points in a win over the Capers (3-3) in Cape Elizabeth.

Nate Hebert chipped in with 12 points.

Owen Tighe led Cape Elizabeth with 11 points. Sam Lombardo and Alex Van Huystee each had nine.

GIRLS BASKETBALL
OXFORD HILLS 65, LEWISTON 38: Ella Pelletier paced the Vikings with 22 points in the victory over the Blue Devils in Lewiston.

Sierra Carson was right behind with 21 points for Oxford Hills (8-0).

Ella Beaudoin scored a team-high 14 points, including four 3-pointers for Lewiston (1-7), and Natalie Beaudoin added 12 points.

WELLS 58, OAK HILL 14: Maren Maxon scored 15 points as the Warriors (6-1) won easily in Wales.

Cali Leighton added eight points for Wells. Ariana Thibeault led the Raiders (0-6) with seven points.

GRAY-NEW GLOUCESTER 48, CAPE ELIZABETH 30: Isabelle Morelli and Ellie Steele paced a balanced attack with eight points apiece as the Patriots (2-4) beat the Capers (5-1) in Gray.

Olivia Manning scored 12 points for Cape Elizabeth.
