MEN’S BASKETBALL
UMF 100, NVU-LYNDON 78: Terion Moss and Jack Kane both surpassed 20 points to lead the Beavers (8-4, 4-0 NAC) past the Hornets (2-11, 0-3) in Farmington.

Moss scored a game-high 27 points and Kane finished with 22. Kyle Donlin (14 points) and Nathan Poulin (13) also scored in double figures for UMaine-Farmington.

Northern Vermont-Lyndon also had four double-digit scorers, led by Mondwell Bukle with 17 points. Peyton Olsen added 15 and Gregory Gonyea and Antonio Carlisle each scored 13.

WOMEN’S BASKETBALL
NVU-LYNDON 40, UMF 28: The Hornets (6-6, 2-1 NAC) snapped out of a small deficit heading into the fourth quarter and finished strong to beat the Beavers (1-11, 0-4 NAC) in Farmington.

Sage Smith scored a game-high 13 points for Northern Vermont-Lyndon, which trailed 22-21 after three quarters.

Grace Dwyer paced University of Maine at Farmington with nine points, and Victoria Garand and Jalyn Stacey scored six apiece. Ruby McMinis pulled down 11 rebounds.

WOMEN’S INDOOR TRACK
GNAC HONORS WILSONFALCONE: Winthrop High School graduate Aaliyah WilsonFalcone has been chosen as the Great Northwest Athletic Conference’s Indoor Track Athlete of the Week and its Rookie of the Week.

The St. Joseph’s College junior won the triple jump with a best distance of 10.44 meters at a meet hosted by the University of Southern Maine on Saturday.

This is the second time that WilsonFalcone has been honored by the GNAC this indoor track and field season. She was the conference’s Rookie of the Week last month.

BARNES RECOGNIZED: University of Southern Maine sophomore Zoe Barnes, a Gray-New Gloucester graduate, has been named the Little East Conference Indoor Field Athlete of the Week.

Barnes won the shot put at the USM Open II on Saturday with a throw of 12.10 meters, which is the fifth-best mark in program history. She also set a personal record with a 13.23-meter mark in the weight throw, which was fourth-best at Saturday’s meet.
