FARMINGTON — A local woman suffered a medical emergency Thursday morning, causing the SUV she was driving to cross the centerline of Farmington Falls Road, go airborne and hit a tree.

Jill Robinson, 52, was driving toward New Sharon about 11 a.m. when the incident occurred, Farmington police officer Jonathan Parker said.

The Jeep crossed the road, which is also U.S. Route 2/state Route 27, struck a snowbank and went airborne just before a driveway to 266 Farmington Falls. It hit hedges at 268 Farmington Falls Road before striking a tree at a third residence, he said.

Parker was assisted by Sgt. Ethan Boyd, Farmington Fire Rescue and NorthStar EMS ambulance personnel.
