100 Years Ago: 1923

Eighteen members of the Auburn Friday club were entertained at a luncheon at the Elm House yesterday by Mrs. Willis Snow. The tables  were prettily decorated with potted plants, and pinks, the club flower. There were also dainty favors. After the luncheon a theatre party was enjoyed.

50 Years Ago: 1973

Mrs. George Orestis of Maple Hill Road, Auburn, is general chairman of the Greek Dance held annually under the auspices of the Philoptochos Society and Daughters of Penelope. The dance will be held at the Lewiston Armory on May 12 and some early plans being made by Mrs. Orestis and her committee  promise that the dance, which is one of the fun parties of the Spring, will be better than ever.

25 Years Ago: 1998

Lewiston High School musicians Rose Wollman, a sophomore, and Christina Lamare, a senior, were selected to play in the 1998 All-State Music Festival, which will be hosted by Lewiston in May. The program is looking for families to house young musicians from around the state.
