WEST PARIS — An abandoned mobile home caught fire Saturday afternoon at 24 Tuell Town Road, officials said.
Fire Chief Kevin Davis said a burn permit was issued for that address earlier in the day, but shortly after noon, crews were called out for a structure fire.
Davis said it is not clear if the structure fire was intentional or accidental and that the Maine Forest Service was investigating.
According to the Maine Burn Permit System, only brush piles, wood debris and agricultural burns are allowed during low or moderate daily fire dangers.
Assisting the West Paris Fire Department were departments from Paris and Sumner.
No injuries were reported.
