TURNER — A Wales woman avoided serious injury Sunday afternoon when she was thrown from her SUV after the vehicle went off the road in Turner.
Mariah Webber, 28, was traveling northbound at about 1 p.m. in a 2012 Nissan Xterra when the vehicle went off North Parish Road, near Turner Center Road, and into a ditch. The Xterra rolled several times during the crash, according to Deputy Chief William Gagne of the Androscoggin County Sheriff’s Office.
Webber was ejected from the vehicle, but was conscious and alert when examined by rescue workers, according to officials.
Gagne said Webber was not wearing a seat belt when she crashed.
“Miraculously, Mariah has no serious injuries,” he said.
