LISBON – Rodney W. Proctor Sr., 89, of Lisbon passed away on Tuesday, September 19, 2023 at his home. He was the husband of Isabelle I. (Pulk) Proctor.
He was born in Augusta on March 16, 1934, a son of the late Charles E. and Priscilla (Grover) Proctor. He was a lifelong resident of Lisbon.
Rodney works for Jones and Vining for many years and then went to work for Miller Industries. Lastly, he opened his own logging business.
He enjoyed candlepin bowling at the lanes in Lisbon Falls and going to the casino. He was famous for his playing scratch tickets. He especially loved spending time with his grandchildren.
Besides his wife, he is survived by his four sons, Rodney Proctor Jr. and his partner Gloria Russo of Lisbon, Stephen Proctor and his wife Becky of Oxford, Jerry Proctor Sr. and his wife Lisa of Lisbon and Mark Proctor Sr. and his wife Cathy of Lisbon and his daughter Barbara LaFontaine and her husband David of Lisbon. He also leaves eight grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; one great great grandson; as well as his siblings David, Henry and Elizabeth; and several nieces and nephews. He was also the father of the late Wanda Proctor and the grandfather of the late Andrew Proctor.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Celebration of life on Saturday, Sept. 30, 2023 from 2 – 6 p.m. at the American Legion, 10 Webster Road, Lisbon with military honors being rendered at 4 p.m.
