Cynthia “Cindy” A. Theriault

AUBURN – Cynthia “Cindy” A. Theriault, 61, of Minot, formerly of Poland passed away on Monday, Sept. 11, 2023, following an illness that she courageously battled for the past few years.

She had a love for kitties and treated them as though they were her children. A few that were special to her heart were Jasmine, Collin and Daisy.

She loved the warm weather and spent many days at the beach or ocean early in life. Pursuing her love for animals, she worked several years as a veterinarian assistant for facilities in Falmouth, Poland and Turner. Later, she became well liked and made lots of people smile during her 28 years as a cashier at Shaw’s Supermarket in Auburn. She also worked retail at the Home Depot for a couple of years.

Getting together for holidays and enjoying family gatherings were always special.

She was predeceased by her father Fernand C. Theriault, mother Yvette R. Theriault; two infant brothers, Jimmy and Joseph Theriault.

She is survived by two brothers Clement Theriault of Poland and Michael and his wife Trina Theriault of Minot; two nephews Taylor and his wife Heather, and great nephew Luca of Fitchburg, Mass., and Joshua and his wife Keeana and great nephew Mateo of Salem, N.H.

Her family would like to thank and express gratitude to her long-time friends Marica and Cheryl. They were remarkable friends and always made time to help when needed. The family would also like to thank Vicki and her staff at Sarah Frye Home in Auburn. Vicki was extremely caring and had a special bond with Cindy.

A Memorial Gathering honoring Cynthia’s life will be held on Saturday, Sept. 30, 2023 from 9:30 – 11:15 a.m. Graveside Services will then follow at 11:45 a.m., at Gracelawn Memorial Park. Immediately following, there will be a Celebration of Life from 12:30-3 p.m., at the VFW located on Minot Avenue in Auburn. All are welcome to attend the events.
