Marie Blanchette Madore

AUBURN – Marie passed away on Sept. 27, 2023, at 5:21 a.m., at the age of 85. She was born in Auburn on Dec. 23, 1937, to Willie Blanchette and Armandine Fortier. She attended Auburn Schools and graduated from Edward Little High School in June 1955. She married Valier J. Madore on Nov. 26, 1955.

Marie enjoyed playing cribbage with the seniors every Thursday morning. She loved music, singing and dancing. She also enjoyed bowling and playing Pinochle with her children whenever they visited.

Marie and her husband, Val, enjoyed doing everything together, including going to Florida in the winter for 18 years. But above all, Marie loved all her family very much and was very proud of them all.

She was predeceased by her parents; and her sister, Elaine Wark and her brother, Willie Blanchette Jr.

Marie is survived by her loving husband of 67 years; and their four children, Susan Hatten and husband David, Donna Beauchesne and husband Jim, Vickie St. Hilaire and husband Chuck and John Madore and wife Theresa. She also leaves behind her sister, Anita Maurice and brother, Roger Blanchette; as well as her seven grandchildren, Ryan, Morgan, Patrick, Sarah, Katelyn, Kristen and Andrew; plus eight great-grandchildren.

Valier and his four children would like to thank The Hospice House staff for the wonderful care provided to our Mom in her final days.
