TURNER — Brayden Greenlaw netted a hat trick and added two assists as Leavitt lifted off to an 8-2 victory over Maranacook in a boys soccer game Wednesday.

Max Thibault, Serogzha Bezhenar, Logan Berube, Jake Dening and Cole Johanson also scored for the Hornets (2-9), which took a 5-2 lead into halftime. Dening, Berube and Colin Schlobohm each provided an assist.

Owen Lyons and Ethan Clark scored for the Black Bears (0-9).

Alex Corey made five saves for Leavitt. Grant Walters and Sam St. Germaine split time in goal for Maranacook, with Walters stopping five shots and St. Germaine denying two.

LINCOLN ACADEMY 5, GRAY-NEW GLOUCESTER 0: Casey Duncan notched a hat trick and Lucas Houghton tallied a goal and an assist, powering the Eagles (8-1-1) past the Patriots (4-5-1) in Newcastle.

Peter Thelander also scored. Marcello Endrizzi and Drew Hunt combined for eight saves in the shutout.

GIRLS SOCCER
HALL-DALE 8, OAK HILL 0: Julia Nott, Hayden Madore and Marie Benoit scored two goals apiece as the Bulldogs (6-3) rolled to a win over the Raiders (1-7) in Wales.

Lucy Gray and MacKenzie Olsen also scored for Hall-Dale.

MacKenzie Vattaso made 12 saves for Oak Hill.

MARANACOOK 3, LEAVITT 1: Natalie Mohlar scored twice as the Black Bears (11-0) remained undefeated with the win at Readfield.

Celia Bergdhal’s goal gave Maranacook a 1-0 lead at the half. Kylee Spugnardi scored for Leavitt.

Devyn Eliasen made 10 saves in net for the Black Bears, who were out-shot 15-11. Jamie Ellis made eight stops for Leavitt (2-9).

OLD ORCHARD BEACH 4, BUCKFIELD 1: Alaynah LeBlond scored to go-ahead goal early in the second half, then assisted on a pair of goals by Tessa Ferguson as the Seagulls (4-7) pulled away from the Bucks (7-3) in Buckfield.

Lea Alivizatos tied the game in the first half with her first career goal after Buckfield’s Cori Merrill opened the scoring.

Sarah Davis made eight saves for the Seagulls. Kianna Finnegan of Buckfield stopped six shots.

FIELD HOCKEY
DIRIGO 6, LISBON 0: Sylvia Hodsdon and Grace Averill each scored two first-quarter goals to send the Cougars (7-1) to an MVC win over the Greyhounds (2-7-1) in Dixfield.

Lana Waite converted a penalty stroke in the fourth quarter and Emily Woods rounded out the scoring in the final minute for Dirigo. Waite and Woods each tallied two assists, and Libbie Errington also provided a helper in the game.

Sophia Cote stopped 11 shots for Lisbon. Keira Kelley secured the shutout for the Cougars with one save.

SPRUCE MOUNTAIN 3, BOOTHBAY 1: Aubrey Kachnovich notched a goal and an assist to help pace the Phoenix (9-1) past the Seahawks (2-8) in Boothbay Harbor.

Kachnovich assisted on Olivia Mastine’s goal, and Anna Plourde provided the helper on Kachnovich’s tally. Brooklyn Fournier scored the other Spruce Mountain goal on a penalty stroke.

Kari Blake scored for Boothbay, assisted by Sara Kraft.

Cass Amaral made 16 saves for the Seahawks, while Spruce Mountain’s Mallory Clark stopped two shots.

BREWER 3, EDWARD LITTLE 1: Allie Flagg’s hat trick was the successful spell in the Witches’ (7-2-1) win over the Red Eddies (6-5) in Auburn.

Flagg scored her first two goals late in the first quarter, then put the game away with a converted penalty stroke in the fourth.

Helena Moon scored Edward Little’s lone goal in the third quarter.

Kasey Smith stonewalled 12 shots for the Red Eddies, while Maci Morneau made six saves for Brewer.

MOUNTAIN VALLEY 2, HALL-DALE 0: Kaylani Sinclair scored both of the Falcons’ (4-6) goals in the win over Bulldogs (6-3) in Rumford.

Ella Young and Abby Jones each had an assist in the win.

Brooke Brown made six saves for Mountain Valley and Jade Graham made one for Hall-Dale.
