JAY — Brooklyn Fournier and Olivia Mastine scored two goals apiece as Spruce Mountain finished off St. Dominic Academy for a 5-3 win in a Class C field hockey game Saturday.
Adell Pease also scored for the Phoenix (10-1), and Mastine added two assists to her ledger while Miley Fournier, Aubrey Kachnovich and Maddie Grimaldi each tallied one.
Ava Martin scored two unassisted goals in the second half for the Saints (3-8), and Abby Labonte scored off an assist from Lily Bonney for the Saints’ first goal in the first quarter.
Maia Cote made 17 saves for the Saints. Mallory Clark and Kyleigh Marcotte shared goaltending duties for the Phoenix, with Marcotte making one save.
CONY 2, LEAVITT 1: Helen Dineen and Natalie Dube scored as the Rams (10-1) prevailed in Augusta.
Abby Morrill assisted on Dineen’s goal, and Dube scored on a penalty stroke in the fourth quarter.
Katie Sirois scored for Leavitt (9-2).
Cony goalie Avery Maxim made four saves, while Leavitt counterpart Emily Poland had nine.
