Clients and staff of Hope Association in Rumford wear red Wednesday in support of Lewiston Strong in the wake of last week’s mass shootings in that city. They placed a large heart at the entrance to the Rumford Armory parking lot at 85 Lincoln Ave., hearts in 56 windows and posters on the doors of their headquarters. “Our hearts go out to the families and friends that have been affected by the most recent tragedy,” Executive Director Miki Skehan said. “We’ll continue to hold you in our thoughts.” The association provides leadership, residential, community case management, vocational and community support services to individuals and their families to enhance independence, dignity, choice and individual well-being, according to its website.
