LEWISTON

• The race for mayor will come down to a runoff election between incumbent Mayor Carl Sheline and Jon Connor. Sheline gained the most votes Tuesday but did not surpass the required 50% of the vote to avoid a runoff.
• The runoff will take place on Tuesday, Dec. 12, with all voting taking place at Longley Elementary School
• All three incumbent councilors in contested seats lost their reelection bids on Tuesday, bringing in newcomers Susan Longchamps, Michael Roy and David Chittim, along with Eryn Soule-Leclair, Tim Gallant, Josh Nagine.
• The only incumbent councilor to serve in 2024 will be Councilor Scott Harriman.

AUBURN

• Three-term incumbent Mayor Jason Levesque was soundly defeated by challenger Jeff Harmon, who received 62% of the vote.
• The shake-up continued on the City Council, where three new faces, Tim Cowan, Adam Platz and Benjamin Weisner, will join four incumbents.
