Pauline Anna Welch

DIXFIELD – Pauline Anna Welch, 91, died Thursday Nov. 30, 2023, at the Hospice House in Auburn. She was a resident of Dixfield.

Pauline was born in Farmington on March 25, 1932, and was the daughter of Carroll and Madeline (McGoff) French. She was a graduate of Lawrence High School and Farmington Teacher’s College. She was a second grade school teacher for Dixfield. Following retirement, she and her husband George owned and operated Mountain View Campground in Dixfield for over 30 years.

Pauline was married in Fairfield on June 20, 1953, to George Welch who survives of Dixfield. They enjoyed 70 years of marriage. Other survivors include daughters, Debbie Cote and husband Richard of Lisbon, Robyn Kates and husband Wayne of Lawton, Okla., Karen Violette and husband John of Dade City, Fla., and Jennifer Litwin and husband Donald of Dixfield, a son, Jeffrey Welch and wife Valerie of Hillsboro, Ore.; 12 grandchildren; and 23 great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her brother David, a sister Pat; granddaughter Sarah; and great grandsons Michael and Richard.

A Celebration of Life will be held 2 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 9, 2023, at the Mountain View Campground, 200 Mountain View Drive, Dixfield, ME 04224.
