Jeffrey Kreidler kept the puck out of the Twin City Thunder’s net.
The first-year goalie had a 52-save shutout in the 1-0 victory over the Connecticut Jr. Rangers in a USPHL NCDC game at the Chelsea Piers North Rink in Stamford, Connecticut, on Saturday night.
It was his first shutout of the season.
The win snaps a four-game losing streak for the Thunder (9-20-2, 20 points).
Jack MacDonald scored the only goal of the game early in the second for the Thunder. Dylan Hendrick had the lone assist.
Primo Baldassarre was outstanding for Connecticut (18-16-1, 37 points), making 31 saves in the loss.
The teams meet again on Sunday afternoon in Stamford.
