FARMINGTON — Two women from Rumford were charged Thursday after Farmington police seized 31.3 grams of suspected methamphetamine during a traffic stop on Wilton Road.

Heather Gotto, 37, of Rumford was arrested on a charge of unlawful possession of scheduled drugs — 3.3 grams of methamphetamine. A conviction is punishable by up to five years in prison and a fine of up to $5,000. She was released Thursday from the Franklin County Detention Center on $500 bail.
Tammy K. Toth, 36, of Rumford was arrested on a charge of unlawful trafficking drugs and unlawful possession of scheduled drug. A conviction on a trafficking charge is punishable by up to 10 years in prison and a fine of up to $20,000. A conviction for unlawful possession is punishable by up to five years in prison and a fine of up to $5,000. Toth was released Friday on $2,500 bail.
Toth was in possession of about 28 grams of suspected methamphetamine, 13 hydrocodone pills and $1,429 in suspected drug proceeds, which were seized, according to Farmington Sgt. Ethan Boyd’s report.
Boyd received a complaint about 3:52 p.m. Thursday that a vehicle was driving west on Wilton Road, also known as U.S. Route 2 or state Route 4 in Farmington.
The caller reported the vehicle was “all over the road” and the female driver “couldn’t keep her eyes open,” according to Farmington Police Department news release. “A female passenger was also reported to be “slumped over.”

Boyd responded to the scene from downtown Farmington and located the vehicle parked at a business on Wilton Road. The driver had gone into the store while the passenger was in the vehicle.
Franklin County Sheriff’s Deputy Andrew Morgan arrived to assist and found the driver, identified as Gotto, inside the store. She returned to the vehicle and met with officers. The passenger was identified as Toth.
