JAY — Police are investigating reports of multiple gunshots fired early Thursday morning on Church Street.
Police Chief Richard Caton IV said they are not aware of the shots hitting anything and no one was injured, he said.
Reports of the gunshots started coming in at about 4:40 a.m., he said.
If anyone has any information about the situation or saw anything suspicious, call Jay Police Department at 207-897-6766.
Assisting Jay were Androscoggin County and Franklin County deputies, and Livermore Falls and Wilton police, Caton said.
