LEWISTON — Paul Gardner of Gray was installed as Potentate (CEO) of the Kora Shriners on Jan. 13.

The installation ceremony was held at the Kora Shrine Temple at 11 Sabattus St. The building is on the National Historic Register and has been the home of Kora Shriners since 1909, according to a news release from the Kora Shriners.
Gardner discussed his theme for the year of “Spread the Word” to over 250 that attended the semi-public event.
“We need to let people know about our mission of “having fun and helping kids,” said Gardner. “Our hard work and the fun we have is all about supporting the amazing children in our hospitals. Shriner’s Childrens is a network of 22 hospitals located across the US, Canada, and Mexico, provide world-class care regardless of a family’s ability to pay.”
Gardner, a Lewiston/Auburn native, has been a member of Kora Shriners since 2012.
