50 Years Ago: 1974
Maurice Fontaine, proprietor of Val’s Flower Boutique, will present the program when the Knights of Columbus Auxiliary meets Tuesday night at the East Avenue, Lewiston KC Home. Supper at 6:30 will open the evenings activities which will include initiation of several new members under the direction of Maurice Dennis, coordinator, and Rev. Lionel Choinard, chaplain.
25 Years Ago: 1999
The Lewiston Auburn Optimist Club will meet at noon, Friday, March 19, at Da Vinci’s. Guest speaker will be Emile Clavet, president of the Bates of Maine Co.
A representative of Up With People will also make a presentation. Upcoming youth projects, including the essay contest, and the soup kitchen program will be discussed.
