I am writing with a heart full of gratitude and admiration for the exceptional individuals who make up the dedicated staff at the Guy E. Rowe Elementary School.

As a parent of a child with a rare metabolic disorder that affects every aspect of his daily life — including his ability to communicate, move independently, and eat conventionally — I have had the privilege of witnessing firsthand the extraordinary care and support provided by the staff at our school.

My son, Hunter, is non-verbal, reliant on a wheelchair for mobility, and receives his nutrition through a g-tube. Every day, he faces unique challenges that require specialized attention. My son not only receives an education tailored to his needs but also experiences a sense of belonging and inclusivity that is truly invaluable.

It is essential to recognize and acknowledge the tireless efforts of these individuals who, in many ways, are doing much more than just their “ordinary” jobs. Their commitment to creating a safe, nurturing and inclusive environment for all students, regardless of their challenges, is what sets them apart and makes our school community truly exceptional.

I am immensely grateful for everything the staff do, I hope that their incredible work can serve as an inspiration to others in recognizing the power of inclusivity, compassion and dedication in making the world a better place for all.
