Elaine Anne Bailey

LEWISTON – Elaine Anne Bailey, 61, a resident of Greene, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, March 25, 2024, at CMMC after a short illness. She was born April 15, 1962, in Norway, the daughter of Walter W. Bailey and Elizabeth M. (Palmer) Bailey. Elaine was a former employee of Nezinscot Guild in Turner. The Guild was a small business who employed people with intellectual disabilities. She was also a “happy camper” at the Pine Tree Camp in Rome, Maine for 20 years. Elaine was currently attending POD where she enjoyed being with her friends and staff. Elaine enjoyed doing her plastics, swimming in the pool, bowling, watching Benson and spending time with her family. She loved Snoopy, Scooby Doo, and Mickey Mouse. Elaine loved Santa, the Easter Bunny and trick or treating with her peeps. Her favorite holiday was her birthday. Elaine loved her “countries” music and put on many concerts at the “opries”. She loved all things tied dyed and had an amazing T-shirt collection. Elaine enjoyed her morning chocolate muffins, and her nightly snack cakes and whoopie pies while watching Wheel of Fortune and “jeopardies”. Elaine loved being with her sister, nieces, and nephews and her “grandkids”.

She was predeceased by her parents, Walter and Elizabeth Baily Sr., a very special brother-in-law, Delbert R. Mason Sr., brothers, Gilbert Bailey and Reginald Bailey. She is survived by her sister, “Mally” Marilyn Mason of Greene who was the best big sister, two brothers, Walter Bailey of North Anson and Dwight Bailey of Sacramento, California, nieces and nephews, Lisa Mason of Greene, Delbert Mason, Jr. and his wife Dawn, Kenneth Mason and his wife Lena, Michelle Woodbury and her husband Kevin, Karen Nadeau and her husband Brian. Her “grandkids”, Tyler, Taylor, her favorite niece Emily and her fiancé Bryce, Elizabeth, Ryan (her T.V. tech man), Mason, Reilly, Sawyer, Ashley, Ellianna and Greyson (her holiday helpers). A graveside service will be held in the spring, date to be announced. Interment will be at Mount Abram Cemetery, Greenwood, Maine. Arrangements by the BRAGDON-FINLEY FUNERAL HOME, 707 Main Street, Monmouth, Maine.
