LEWISTON — More than five months after the Oct. 25, 2023, mass shooting, Just-In-Time Recreation is getting closer to reopening.

Owners Justin and Samantha Juray have been slowly and methodically repairing and renovating the bowling alley at 24 Mollison Way, working toward reopening.

Photos posted on the business’ social media page offer a glimpse into the extensive renovations, including new scoring machines, painting, flooring, ball returns and lane improvements.

In an interview with News Center Maine recently, the couple said they are adding security cameras and a new door. They didn’t offer a firm date for reopening other than to say this spring.

A post on the Just-In-Time Facebook page Thursday reads: “As we are getting closer to being able to open, we are looking to hire a few positions,” including three part-time mechanics and three part-time kitchen workers.
