FARMINGTON — Mt. Blue Regional School District (Regional School Unit 9) district-wide registration for pre-K and kindergarten for the 2024/25 school year opens this spring.
To be eligible for kindergarten, children must be 5 years old on or before Oct. 15; for pre-K, children must be 4 years old on or before Oct. 15.
Students enrolled in one of the district’s pre-K programs at Cape Cod Hill, G.D. Cushing, or W.G.Mallett Schools are automatically registered for kindergarten, according to a news release from Katie Merrill, executive assistant to the superintendent.
• Cape Cod Hill School, New Sharon: For pre-K, call Paula Hanley at 207-778-3031, by appointment only; and kindergarten, call Crystal Oliver at 207-778-3031, May 10 registration (if a second day is needed, May 17).
• Gerald D. Cushing School, Wilton: Call Lori Laplant at 207-645-2442; pre-K and kindergarten registration, April 22-26.
• W. G. Mallett School, Farmington: Call Laurie Hastings at 207-778-3529; pre-K registration May 15 and May 16; and kindergarten May 17.
For by-appointment only, people should leave a message; someone from the school will return the call.
Registration packets must be picked up at the child’s school and completed prior to the registration appointment.
Also, people should bring the following documentation to the appointment: the child’s original birth certificate; up-to-date immunization records; a recent photo of the child; proof of residency; and the completed Parental Questionnaire and Medical History forms found in the registration packet.
