Arthur Anthony DiDonna, Sr.

AMSTERDAM, NY –

Arthur Anthony DiDonna, Sr., 70, of Amsterdam, NY, passed away at home on April 7, 2024. Arthur was born Jan. 22, 1954, in Delanson, NY, the son of the late Arthur and Jeanette (Bolduc) DiDonna. He served in the US Air Force and was stationed in Thailand during the Vietnam War.

Arthur had two sons with his ex-wife before moving to Maine where he got a job at G.H. Bass. He then met Joanne Bradbury who he had three children with. They bought a house and resided in Wilton, Maine for over 30 years before their separation in 2009.

After being separated from his wife of over 30 years he moved to Jay, Maine. He would spend most of his time with his grandchildren. He was predeceased by his 3rd wife Kathi and remarried in 2017. They moved to New York in 2021.
Arthur spent his time writing, playing his guitar and he had a passion for building things. He spent many years camping at Hemlock Campground in Poland, Maine. He was also a member of the Elks Lodge, VFW, Combat Veterans and Eagles Club for many years. In 1994, he decided to pursue a degree in writing and graduated from UMF in Farmington, Maine in 1998.
He is survived by his wife Nancy Adriance DiDonna; his siblings, Daniel and wife Tina, Polly Fontaine, Christopher DiDonna and wife Donna; his children, Aaron DiDonna and wife Katie, Angie Clark, Amy Crocker and husband Christopher, Nicholas DiDonna and wife Kimberly; grandchildren, Dylan, Kaleb, Laci, Kendra and Mason; one great grandchild, Rowan; many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
He was predeceased by his parents, Arthur and Jeanette; his sister Nina Carlow; grandchild, Lacey Crocker; and his oldest son Arthur Anthony DiDonna, Jr.
Arthur will be laid to rest at Saratoga Memorial Cemetery on April 25, 2024 at 2 p.m. following a Celebration of Life from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Backyard Brewery in Duanesburg, NY.
