JAY — Tyoaka Hodgkin tallied four hits to pace a potent Spruce Mountain offense in a 15-11 softball win over Madison on Thursday.

Hodgkin also scored three runs for Spruce Mountain, which scored in all six innings that it came up to bat. The Phoenix (2-1) got three hits apiece from Jaydn Pingree, Jazmine Pingree and Mallory Clark, while Rylee Turner and Leah Burgess both recorded two hits. Spruce totaled 19 as a team. Turner earned the win, striking out four batters in four innings.

Kenzie Robbins and Kenadi Berry both had three hits for the Bulldogs (1-2), and Ella Haynie had two.
