Many patients at CMG Hospital were made happy when a May Day party was given to them. May baskets of bright colors and dainty construction filled with candies, cakes and cookies were given to each patient and changed the usual less sunshiny day into a wondrous one for many.

Following an attractive tradition too often neglected, three young people went out hanging May Baskets to mark the first day of May.

They are Brian Gardner, Salli-Jo Ehrenfield and Shelli Gardner. Brian and Shelli are the children of Mr. and Mrs. William E. Gardner of McArthur Ave. and Salli-Jo is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. David W. Ehrenfeld of McArthur Avenue, Lewiston.

The girls made the frilly May Baskets they are holding.

In a recent study by Market Surveys of America, Coleman’s Collision Center was voted the Best Auto Body Shop in the Lewiston-Auburn area.

A locally owned company, Coleman’s is part of Maine’s largest collision repair network, Broadway Collision, with another location in South Portland.

According to Dana Ireland, owner of the two facilities, “This award recognizes the high level of professional repair and service customers have come to expect today.

Customer feedback plays an important role in day-to-day operations at these two facilities. Both Broadway and Coleman use an independent third party to track customer’ evaluations of their work.

“If a customer reports that he is less than fully satisfied with his repair experience at Broadway or Coleman we are advised immediately so we can respond in a timely manner. Our detailed monthly Customer Care Analsis gets the same attention in evaluating our organization’s performance,” said Ireland.

Both Coleman’s and Broadway have state-of-the-art equipment to manage the entire repair process.

“We’re only as good as our people who use these tools,” says Ireland. “It’s our people that make the difference. It’s their training and commitment that gets this recognition.
