DEAR SUN SPOTS: Members of Mu Chapter, Delta Kappa Gamma, cordially thank all educators, including all administrators and support staff, for your dedication and commitment to the young people with whom you work every day. Each day you face new challenges, which you must meet with your expertise and thoughtful care.
We thank you, not only during Teacher Appreciation Week, May 6-10, but also throughout the school year.  We sincerely appreciate your efforts to care for the many needs of our young people today. — Mu Chapter members, no town

ANSWER: Readers, this is your week to give your children’s teachers some extra TLC and I’m sure they’ll appreciate it. To all the teachers out there, thank you for all you do!

DEAR SUN SPOTS: I am looking for a Class of 1973 yearbook from Rumford High School (now Mountain Valley High School) for my sister who lost hers in a fire.

I would love to find a copy of this yearbook. I have checked with Classmates.com and they do not list one from 1973. If anyone knows of a yearbook that someone would be willing to part with, please call me at 577-1162. This would surprise and thrill my sister who lives in Connecticut now. Thank you Sun Spots, for all you do to help people. It is appreciated. — No name, no town

ANSWER: I’m fairly certain that another Sun Spotter will help you surprise your sister. Let us know how this turns out!

DEAR SUN SPOTS: It’s that time of year again, for sharing plants. I had such a good response to my giveaway last year and met the nicest people so I’m offering my plants again.

I have many tawny daylilies, commonly called ditch lilies, a single orange flower and bloom throughout most of July. I have many Kawansa daylilies, a double orange flower that blooms from the end of July into mid-August.

These two are great companion plants, filling your garden or bare space by your garage or backyard with blooms in July and August. I also have many clumps of Star of Bethlehem that will be ready to bloom soon, and wild geranium groundcover that has a pink flower and a wonderful woodsy smell. Bring your  own shovel and containers please. You can contact me at mathews91@aol.com. – No name, Auburn

ANSWER: I’m sure you’ll have many takers again this year. Gardening is one of the healthiest hobbies and I encourage it!
